Fluor Security Specialist I in United States

Job Description:

Security Specialist to assist Corporate Facility Security Officer and Industrial Security Department in ensuring compliance with DOD 5200.22-M - Defense Industrial Security Program, National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM), Executive Orders, and client security directives

Process requests for personnel security clearances, periodic reinvestigations, as well as other investigations for employees to obtain US Government required access

Interface with candidates, other Fluor organizations, and client personnel on security related matters

Perform quality assurance reviews of the security clearance process, to ensure that industrial security personnel with security clearance processing duties are in compliance with relevant US Government requirements, and organization procedures

Create, execute and monitor security policies and procedures to safeguard national security information / equipment and company / customer intellectual property

Develop and implement procedures relating to access control, personnel security and incoming and outgoing visitor control and badging

Maintain personnel security clearance records for employees and consultants using Joint Personnel Adjudication System (JPAS) and understand Scattered Castles

Advise on Federal security regulations and procedures

Conduct Security Education / OPSEC, Training and Awareness Program: indoctrinations, debriefings, annual refresher training, and foreign travel, espionage, cyber security and special assess briefings

Work with Contracts and Operations to ensure compliance with contract / subcontract security requirements

Create DD 254’s when needed

Issue classification guidance to subcontractors

Prepare and implement operations security (OPSEC) plans

Maintain security documentation and files in accordance with DSS and client requirements

Conduct investigations / inquires, prepares reports and implements corrective actions for security incidents

Involved with document control including in-/out-processing of sensitive material and preparation of document transmittals and packaging; Issue courier authorizations
