Fluor HSE Coordinator in Uganda

Job Description:


Coordinates implementation of HSE programs, policies and services within assigned AOR.

Provides specialized HSE services to support field level implementation of health, safety and environmental policies, procedures and guidelines as instructed.

Activities include but are not limited to risk identification, incident reporting and investigation, waste minimization, pollution prevention and control, various compliance activities and implementation of various aspects of management systems in all areas of HSE.

Conducts inspections and assessments. Performs record-keeping and other general administrative duties.

Provides HSE interface to project management, other functional areas, client personnel and corporate HSE staff.

Provides HSE expertise and support in areas of technical advice, data interpretation, personnel development, and process improvement.

Position may be located in a war zone in a contingency environment with harsh, dangerous working and living conditions, which may include carrying and wearing required personal protective equipment for extended periods of time. To ensure compliance with safety, health and security requirements in the contract, employees will be literate in English (read, write, speak and understand).

Must possess the ability to read, write, speak and understand the English language at the intermediate level as necessary to perform assigned job functions.

Requires computer skills and proficiency using email, Microsoft Office or specialized applications as necessary to perform assigned job functions.
