Fluor Fuel Distribution Systems Foreman in Uganda

Job Description:

THIS POSITION WILL BE LOCATED IN EASTERN AFRICA/HORN OF AFRICA

Leads employees responsible for the logistical functions associated with providing aviation, diesel, and mogas fuels.

Monitors and maintains aviation, diesel, and mogas fuels in the tanks of a fuel farm.

Performs usage calculations, initiates service orders, and required fuel amounts for tank filling.

Performs routine logistical functions including preparation of receiving or shipping documents.

Inspects samples of fuels, and checks gravity and flashpoint.

Gauges tanks for water, temperature, and fuel levels.

Performs preventive maintenance and repairs on fuel terminal systems. Maintains fuel equipment as assigned.

Completes and verifies required documents and situation reports; maintains documentation as needed to support future audits.

Ensures that appropriate training is provided to team personnel.

Collects, reviews, and submits time sheets and work week schedules. Conducts daily safety briefings and ensures HSE standards are observed.

SUPERVISION EXERCISED

As directed by management, may supervise employees or subcontractor personnel in accordance with the “General Supervisory Duties and Responsibilities” addendum.

TYPICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Position may be located in a wide variety of environments, from conventional indoor office workspace to project worksites with harsh, working and living conditions.

To ensure compliance with safety, health and security requirements in the contract, employee will possess the ability to read, write, speak and understand the English language at the intermediate level as necessary to perform assigned job functions.

Position requires the basic skills and physical ability necessary to perform assigned job functions.
