Job Description:
Fluor is seeking candidates for opportunities within our Program Delivery Support (PDS) team, working alongside the California High-Speed Rail Authority, to provide program delivery and program management services for one of the largest planned infrastructure projects in the U.S.
The system will connect the 500-mile stretch between the Los Angeles region with the San Francisco Bay Area, with up to 24 stations. The first phase of the program is currently under construction in California’s Central Valley.
This position will report to the Director of Project Controls.
This position is responsible for overseeing the risk management processes across the project. This includes identifying, assessing, mitigating, and monitoring risks that could impact project objectives, timelines, budgets, and overall success. We are seeking an individual who thrives in a fast pace, high energy environment, and takes pride in delivering big landmark projects.
• Develop and implement a comprehensive risk management framework tailored to the needs of the program, ensuring it aligns with organizational goals and industry best practices.
• Ensure the integration of risk management strategies into the overall program management plan
• Conduct thorough risk assessments, categorizing risks according to their likelihood and potential impact on program objectives, timelines, and costs
• Collaborate with program and project managers to develop risk mitigation plans and strategies to minimize negative impacts on program performance
• Ensure that risk mitigation measures are integrated into project plans, milestones, and budgets, adjusting plans as necessary to maintain program progress
• Monitor the effectiveness of risk mitigation actions and recommend adjustments as needed
• Work closely with project managers to ensure risk management practices are understood and consistently applied across the project
• Facilitate risk management meetings, workshops, and discussions to promote proactive risk identification and resolution among project teams
• Provide guidance and training to project managers and team members on risk management techniques, tools, and best practices
