We provide professional and technical solutions that deliver safe, well-executed, capital-efficient engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) projects to clients worldwide. This role will support key projects across several of the most rapidly growing segments within Fluor.
This position provides leadership in the organization or functional area and is primarily engaged in management activities that establish the direction of a department, function, or project. The position requires the application of knowledge gained from experience and expertise to the job duties and responsibilities. The position will make decisions in areas that may impact the organization and its employees, clients, budgets, policies, procedures, work practices, or compliance programs. This position requires strategic thinking and action, considering all available facts and data, as well as considering alternative courses of action, resources, constraints, and company values. Work is performed in the home office and field locations for projects ranging in duration from short term to long term.
Principal Job Duties & Responsibilities
• Perform project logistics execution
• Develop and implement logistics strategy
• Execute complex logistically challenging capital projects and ensure successful execution associated with the logistics component of the project(s)
• Perform activities associated with lump sum and cost reimbursable capital projects
• Oversee activities pertaining to global commerce and trade, as well as global trade compliance standards
• Develop high level logistics strategies for complex capital projects
• Prepare complex logistics plans and associated logistics budgets (cost and hours) for large size projects
• Execute complex logistics plans
• Ensure logistics implications are managed regarding Export Credit Agencies finance requirements on projects
• Develop complex scopes for logistics contracts (i.e., logistics surveys, transportation, freight forwarding, export packing, customs clearance, etc.)
• Analyze situations, identify and forecast problems, evaluate options, and implement appropriate actions. Organize and prioritize multiple tasks and projects effectively to meet critical deadlines.
• May need to travel to attend to business related matters
• Other duties as assigned
