Fluor Logistics Manager, Module Transport Specialist in Gurgaon, India
This position performs work requiring advanced knowledge which is predominantly intellectual in character and which routinely exercises discretion and judgment. The advanced knowledge is in a field of science or learning and gained through a prolonged course of specialized intellectual instruction, experience, and expertise acquired in the field of Logistics
Responsible for managing Project logistics of Piping, bulk items, heavy equipment and shipping of large size Process / Pipe Rack Modules for EPC Projects which primary includes;:
Cost estimation & prepare suitable logistics strategy during bidding / proposals
Assist the development of logistics plans for best mode of transportation (ocean, air, land, Multimodal) incorporating customs clearance processes and International Commercial Terms (INCOTERMS) and regulations associated with import/export
Coordinate with estimation & proposals team, construction team for planning of Module shipping including identification of Marine resources, obtain pricing and prepare logistics plan / method statement for module shipping and also manage execution of Module transportation till it reaches to project construction site. Work in coordination with Module Transport SMEs at Lead offices.
Knowledge of Import/Export compliance and understanding of International Commercial Terms (INCOTERMS), Ability to coordinate domestic and international shipments
Knowledge of Transportation of Heavy Lifts/ ODC consignments, conduct route survey
Interface with various departments like Proposal, Procurement, Project Management, QA, Safety and Statutory Authorities etc for timely & safe deliveries of cargo
Maintain and constantly update Global contact list of Freight Forwarders, carriers, heavy haulers, other logistics service providers with whom Fluor Global offices interact
Act as single source for providing budgetary quotations for Buyers/Corporate Strategy/Others from Fluor Global network.
Maintain database of carriers/trade lanes across segments, including Heavylift Carriers, Breakbulk Carriers, Liner Services across different trade lanes, Self Propelled Deck carriers, Tugs and Barges, Container Carriers
Maintain technical specifications of most of the regular carriers including, Vessel particulars (Built/Length/Beam/Draft/DWT/Gear Capacity), Clear Deck Space, Dimensions of the Holds including box dimensions available within holds, Vessel deployment outlook (Trade lanes/Long term charters etc)
Proficiency in Microsoft applications, supply chain software
