Fluor Materials Control Supervisor in Garoua, Uganda
Supervises Materials Control operations and personnel within assigned area of responsibility (AOR). Ensures ongoing operational effectiveness; coordinates operations with other groups, personnel and internal client; supports operational planning and ensures the availability of skilled personnel and resources as needed to execute required services in an effective, efficient and timely manner. May coordinate aspects of functional planning, operational execution, compliance, and mission support services. Coordinates material requirements and delivery schedules with functional and project management; communicates status updates and change requests as required. Leads a team of personnel responsible for reviewing work schedules, inventory levels, material requisitions and delivery status to ensure necessary supplies of material and supplies at supported locations. Requisitions material and establishes sequential delivery dates, according to priorities and material availability. Examines material delivered to verify conformance to specifications. Arranges transfer of materials to meet schedules. Maintains accuracy of information in computerized records, such as material inventory, in-process reports, and status and location of materials. Evaluates existing practices; initiates and/or recommends improvements. Ensures that operations are conducted in accordance with safe work practices.
As directed by management, may supervise employees or subcontractor personnel in accordance with the “General Supervisory Duties and Responsibilities” addendum.
Position may be located in a wide variety of environments, from conventional indoor office work-space to project work-sites with harsh, working and living conditions.
To ensure compliance with safety, health and security requirements in the contract, employee will possess the ability to read, write, speak and understand the English language at the intermediate level as necessary to perform assigned job functions. Position requires the basic skills and physical ability necessary to perform assigned job functions.
