From this office we undertake world class projects in the Oil and Gas, Petrochemicals, Life Sciences, Advanced Manufacturing, Nuclear, Industrial, Transportation, Telecommunications, Power, Mining and Government sectors working for clients including major oil and gas companies, national oil companies, major pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies, governments, private investors and industrial companies.

Lead Mechanical Engineer – Rotating Equipment
The successful candidate will be required to apply their extensive Mechanical Lead knowledge to Fluor project execution by using their technical expertise based upon home office and field contracting experiences on major and complex projects, plus their outstanding communication and leadership skills.
In addition, candidates must be able to demonstrate:-
Dynamic leadership style, being prepared to push the boundaries when necessary
A proven track record as lead mechanical engineer in major oil and gas projects with experience in upstream, downstream, and petrochemical sectors
Ability to mentor and keen to share knowledge and experience; assisting with training other engineers by providing instruction on new technologies or specialisation's
Technical leadership of global teams, interfacing with all engineering disciplines, across multiple offices to coordinate detailed engineering scope of work.
Experience with cost estimates, schedule development, technical reviews, preparation of design specifications, datasheets, requisitions, bid summaries and purchase orders.
Demonstrate the highest possible regard for HSE
Ability to cultivate an maintain positive Client relationships
Effective management of change
The job role activities will also include:
Responsibility for all the Rotating Equipment.
Supporting studies / FEED in machine selection
Preparation of data sheets, enquiry requisitions, technical bid evaluations, purchase requisitions, Supplier co-ordination and document reviews
Attendance at progress review meetings
Witnessing key inspection stages such as performance and full load, full speed string testing and acceptance of Vendor Technical Dossiers.
Frequent travel will be required followed by assistance at the module yard / job site with installation, commissioning and further testing activities.
Resolution of technical queries from job site including troubleshooting visits to site as required.
Interface directly with the Client, all Engineering disciplines, procurement as well as the supplier.

A shuttle bus service operates between the two local stations and is also available at lunch times for trips to local shopping centres.
