Job Description:

The Academic Education Instructor conducts and manages academic classes as well as provides academic instruction to students by teaching from approved Academic education curriculum.

•Plans, prepares, evaluates and implements instructional units.

•Administers and scores tests.

•Evaluates student progress and posts information to student profile sheet.

•Provides competent instruction within a designated area.

•Provides personal and academic counseling to students.

•Participates in cross training with other instructional areas.

•Maintains student and property accountability.

•Controls use of materials and equipment.

•Participates on Evaluation for students.

•Ensures accountability of property within assigned area.

•Makes recommendations for policy and curriculum revision.

•Keeps records and prepares reports as required.

•Meets on a regular basis with curriculum cluster to ensure quality programming.

•Makes recommendation to training curriculum and materials.

•Adheres to Behavior Management System.

•Responsible for all equipment and furniture in your assigned areas of work.

•Supports the Career Development Services System (CDSS) program.

•Supports and adheres to the Zero Tolerance Policy.

•Maintains a safe and healthful work environment at all times.

•Performs other duties as assigned by management.

•Supports Career Success Standards and a positive culture.

Signing bonus contingent upon 1 year of employment; half payable within 30 days after 6 months of employment; remaining payable within 30 days after 1 year of employment
