Fluor Vector Control Specialist I in Bagram, Afghanistan

Job Description:

Provides Vector Control services for assigned locations. Performs specialized duties to control or eliminate pests and associated disease and damage to personnel, property and operations as part of an Integrated Pest Management (IPM) program. Evaluates site conditions (buildings, supplies, surrounding terrain) to identify and mitigate hazards with the potential to expose site personnel to injury or disease and/or subject site property and equipment to unacceptable levels of damage. Partners with other HSE team members to maintain an ongoing preventative medicine and health promotion campaign. Educates site personnel on potential hazards and avoidance mechanisms, documents and communicates identified hazards and any associated health or medical consequences, and consults with site management as appropriate. Coordinates with veterinary site representatives and DoD personnel in the trapping and transportation of feral animals and pesticide/herbicide application. Ensures that hazardous materials utilized in assigned vector control operations are transported, stored and used in compliance with Company and site requirements. Follows safe work practices at all times. Ensures that work is performed in conformance with client and company requirements. Communicates project status, issues and requirements with site management and other functional leaders as appropriate. Completes all administrative requirements.
