Fluor SCA Telecommunications Mech II in Aurora, Colorado
Job Description * Must have an active TS/SCI with CI Polygraph*
The role of the Telecommunications Mechanic II is to install, support, and maintain in-house voice, data, and video equipment. This includes configuring, diagnosing, repairing, upgrading, and optimizing all telephone systems and services, voicemail and private branch exchange (PBX) communication systems, and video conferencing environments. The person will also analyze and resolve telecommunications circuit issues in a timely and accurate fashion, and assist all user needs.
Perform complex installations, modifications, and repairs to more sophisticated telecommunication equipment, including PBX and voice mail systems
Perform data backups on all telecommunication equipment
Work with voice and data vendors to repair problems with telecommunication services
Maintain a list of vendor contacts to ensure immediate response to any problem with voice or data facilitiesIf supervising others, responsible for the safety of those being supervised; ensure compliance with established safety policies and procedures and the practice of safe work habits
Maintain a customer service focused attitude
Other duties as assigned
Job Requirements:
Basic Job Requirements
A combination of education and directly related experience equal to four (4) years; some locations may have additional or different qualifications in order to comply with local requirements
Ability to communicate effectively with audiences that include but are not limited to management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors, and visitors
Job related technical knowledge necessary to complete the job
Ability to attend to detail and work in a time-conscious and time-effective manner

U.S. citizenPreferred Qualifications Experience working with the DOD
High School Diploma or equivalent appropriate General Certificates of Secondary Education or global equivalent preferred
Four (4) years experience in the telecommunication industry maintaining the telephone systems and telephone cabling
Basic computer skillsAble to multi-task
Excellent customer service skills
Basic problem solving skills
