Job Description:

This position performs work requiring knowledge and experience related to logistics, government material and property accountability, customer service, and government O&M processes and procedures. This position serves as a Logistics Support team member who serves as the primary facilitator for the movement of materials and equipment to and from the Customer facility. Coordinates material requests from the on-site Customer or from external organizations. Manages material movements on-site, locally, within the continental US, and outside the US. Has access to the warehouse, staging areas in warehouse, and SCIF areas and is responsible for assisting the LogSupport Supervisor and LogsOperations Supervisor in the execution of daily movement requirements.
Principle Job Duties & Responsibilities:
• Performs tasks with proper care and preservation of items received, stored, and shipped, uses proper equipment in handling, storing, maintaining, and shipping stock
• Reviews transportation requests for accuracy of information and compliance with established procedures
• Intermediate computer expertise, including use of database, word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation applications
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
• Ensure proper handling of all sensitive, classified, and/or hazardous materials and equipment in accordance with regulatory requirements.
• Monitors contract, Federal Acquisition Regulation and changes affecting Government material and property including accountability, identification, shipping, receiving, control, use, maintenance, storage and disposition
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
• Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization
• Strong organizational, written and oral communication skills
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
• Performs light to medium material handling functions within the department, moving product and components, as required
• Works in other functions within the department, as needed
• Able to lift up to 40 lbs. and stand for extended periods, when required
• Supports transportation of Government materials and property by operating vehicles and forklifts

• Maintain compliance with all applicable policies, procedures, and global standards
• Meet expectations on attendance and punctuality
• Provide inbound/outbound receiving reports, weekly activities report, and other metrics, as required
• Maintain effective utilization of all logistical spaces
• Operate forklift, pallet jack, dollies/carts, and other critical equipment as required
• Operate government owned vehicles and equipment required to complete daily duties
• Maintain good housekeeping in work area
• Ensure proper handling of all sensitive, classified, and/or hazardous materials and equipment in accordance with regulatory requirements
• Perform customer service activities to include but not limited to, answering telephones, communicating with site customers, carrier representatives and drivers
• Understand and apply fundamental mathematical calculations (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division)
• Work within an office or warehouse setting other duties and responsibilities, as assigned
Salary: $26.00-$37.00 per hour + Fringe Rate
