Fluor Critical Facilities Technician in Aurora, Colorado
The purpose of this position is to perform a variety of electrical trade functions such as the installation, maintenance, or repair of equipment for the generation, distribution, or utilization of electric energy.
Install or repair any of a variety of electrical equipment such as generators, transformers, switchboards, controllers, circuit breakers, motors, heating units, conduit systems, or other transmission equipment
Working from schematics, blueprints, drawings, layouts, or other specifications, locate and diagnose trouble in the electrical system or equipment, work standard computations relating to load requirements of wiring or electrical equipment, and use a variety of electrician's hand tools, measuring, and testing instruments
Position requires rotating shift schedule in support of 24hr x 7d facility
Secondary responsibilities include installation of communications components and cabling infrastructures and other construction trades as deemed necessary

Typical and Preferred Requirements:
* Must have an active (or ability to obtain and maintain) TS/SCI with CI Polygraph *
Able to switch medium voltage gear via a switching plan
Ability to communicate effectively with audiences that include but are not limited to management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors, and visitors
Ability to attend to detail and work in a time-conscious and time-effective manner
Must be able to work multiple shifts, weekends and holidays
Position may be located in a wide variety of environments, from conventional indoor office workspace to project worksites with harsh, working and living conditions. To ensure compliance with safety, health and security requirements in the contract, employee will possess the ability to read, write, speak and understand the English language at the intermediate level as necessary to perform assigned job functions. Position requires the basic skills and physical ability necessary to perform assigned job functions. Typical Education & Experience: High school diploma / GED equivalent or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Minimum of four (4) years relevant electrical experience. Must be a Journeyman Electrician with a state issued electrical license. Basic interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal. Experience with voltages up to 13.2k to include maintenance/troubleshooting of switchgear and breakers.
