This position will be located in Ascension Island *
Coordinates implementation of Environmental programs, policies and services assigned to the Ascension Island Airfield Repair Project.
Provides specialized Environmental services to support field level implementation of health, safety and environmental policies, procedures and guidelines as instructed. Manages the Environmental function and areas within the project locations.
Manages programs, policies and procedures and processes in support of the Company and clients environmental strategies, including but not limited to: waste management, pollution prevention and waste minimization, permit compliance, hazardous materials compliance, air and water compliance issues, aspects of environmental management systems, and assistance with other general environmental tasks. Manages and conducts training and audit programs that ensure regulatory compliance.
Provides technical guidance to project management and operations personnel; prepares and presents technical findings and reports; interprets data requirements and standards. Maintains comprehensive knowledge of pertinent environmental regulations and issues, as well as proposed changes in regulatory or other requirements. May lead or participate in HAZMAT response or other fieldwork. Performs functional or technical support as required.
Previous DoD Experience to include working knowledge of DoD Environmental Regulations.
As directed by management, may supervise employees or subcontractor personnel in accordance
with the “General Supervisory Duties and Responsibilities” addendum.
Position may be located in a wide variety of environments, from conventional indoor office workspace to project worksites with harsh, working and living conditions.
To ensure compliance with safety, health and environmental requirements in the contract, employee will possess the ability to read, write, speak and understand the English language.
